First visitor of the day.

Gee, the water looks so good, and the food is out standin.
***************************

Now what's a Cactus Wren doing in my bird seed feeder?
**************************

Please don't tell anyone that I have started eating bird seeds.
***************************
WHAT'S THIS, WHAT'S THIS,
SOME SORT OR TYPE OF A NEW KIND OF BIRD?

I THINK I WILL NAME THIS AN
"ANTELOPE SQUIRREL BIRD"
************************************************
Just in case you don't see the bird & the squirrel

I was scanning this Ocotillo for Gilas when I came across this squirrel climbing up one of the branches.
*********************************

Unless some says different I am calling this bird a female Gilded Flicker.
*****************************

******************************************
This bird very seldom eats, it comes in for a drink several times a day, but don't try to set your whatch by it.

**********************************

*************************************

Please note in the above 2 images I have pointed out the under tail coverts and the outer wing feathers are yellow.
This what I based my naming this bird on.
******************************************************

Come on, let's fly over there and sample those luscious looking oranges, shall we?
*****************************

What'ya think? Should I just flit on over there with out her?
**************************

I'm not wait'n any longer, bye.
**********************************

Oh boy, this is really gonn'a be good.
*******************************************

I just knew it, it's really-really good.
***********************************************
Well, not many birds came in today, at least while I was there for about 4 hours.
What with GAS & SEED going up and my WATER keeps going down, I have been making fewer trips out here.
It takes about $20.00 in gas, $20.00 in food stuff, plus it takes me about an hour & a half
filling up the water and to set every thing up before I can sit in my blind to take pictures.
As it cools down out here maybe more birds will stop by.
See ya in a week or so.
