These images may look a bit different from the others, the reason why is, the bird was back lit.

In other words the sun was behind the bird and my camera was looking into the bright sunlight.

All the camera could see is the dark side of the bird thus causing me
to have to use the flash, and that's why the back ground is all white.

It's very difficult to use the flash in the daylight without causing the sky to turn black.
Achieving that happy medium of a well lit subject and a light colored sky is very tricky.
But inasmuch as I was only interested in the bird I let the sky go white.

I had the shuttuer in motor drive and many times took more than one exposure.
