As you can see this bird is shading either its eggs or chicks from the hot sun.

I'll bet there are chicks in this nest instead of eggs.

Now you can see this truly is a Snowy Egret, can't you?

Just in case you didn't know what I was talking about,
here is a close up image of the birds feet.

Snowy Egrets have yellow feet and black legs.

Yep, just as I thought, this nest has chicks in it.

Well we had better leave these birds alone we have been here long enough.

I never like to stay at a nest site any longer than it is necessary to get a few good photos.

A few days later at that first Snowy Egret's nest.
If it leaves the nest area I will check it for eggs or chicks.
